Kaw 大须芒草 was developed in Kansas 和 is a superb choice for excellent forage quality. It has shown superior leafiness, general vigor 和 it equals or surpasses common 大须芒草 in disease resistance. It is a late season variety recommended for use from central Nebraska 和 south through Oklahoma.

It is a tall grass with short scaly underground stems 和 a strong, deep root system. 大须芒草 begins growth in late April, 和 stalks 4 to 6 feet tall appear from late August to October. 大须芒草 grows in large clumps, is extremely leafy 和 can be found growing on most all the better soils in the true prairie belt.
